The Verdict

Emmett Till was murdered in Money, Mississippi in 1955. Two men were acquitted. Ada is not investigating the murder. She is investigating the jury. She finds the Leflore County clerk who processed jury selection paperwork and has held for sixty-nine years a letter from the county judge — received two days before the verdict — instructing him to destroy the original jury pool list and replace it with an unmarked envelope. He did not destroy the original. He has both.
