The Lighthouse

The Seguin Island lighthouse keeper's log has a 38-day gap in 1895. It reappears with the missing pages excised and one line added in a different hand: The vessel was never here. Ada identifies the vessel — a Navy warship officially decommissioned two years prior. Three crew members were re-enlisted under new identities one month after the log was altered. Ada goes to Seguin Island and finds what the keeper buried under the signal house floor.
